Amsterdam has become a hotbed for startups and tech businesses. The city offers a unique mix of features that are attractive to entrepreneurs, including a strong talent pool, supportive government policies, and access to funding.
According to a report from Dealroom, Amsterdam-based startups have raised €698M so far in H1, 2022, their second-highest H1 on record, although this is down 75 per cent YoY.
The overall value of Amsterdam’s public and private tech companies has dipped slightly this year. However, the city is still second by combined enterprise value among European hubs, behind just London, and ahead of Paris, Stockholm, and Berlin.
Amsterdam tech companies are worth €227B as of June 2022.
