For context I want to buy an apartment in the region of 150k, and live there for 2-3 years and then buy a house with my partner around 2025-2026. Can I have an outstanding mortgage on an apartment, switch it to a buy to let, and then get a second mortgage on a house with my partner? First time buyer and don’t know what I will have to consider as I don’t have anyone I know who is in the know about this sort of thing
