The federal government had on June 21 eliminated HDFC Financial institution, ICICI Financial institution, and Axis Financial institution from the record of empanelled banks attributable to their poor efficiency in dealing with state-run schemes and on the premise of normal banking parameters.
This resolution to withdraw the earlier order was taken after senior officers of the banks met Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on July 1 and submitted written assurance to enhance their efficiency in precedence sector lending and credit-to-deposit ratio, the order stated.
“In view of this, the state authorities has now determined to withdraw its earlier order dated June 21. Consequently, these 3 banks will now proceed as empanelled banks eligible to deal with enterprise and deposits of state authorities organisations,” it stated. PTI
