AMSTERDAM (Reuters) -Amazon (AMZN) plans to speculate 1.4 billion euros ($1.63 billion) within the Netherlands over the following three years, the corporate stated on Monday.
The funding is its largest within the euro zone’s fifth largest financial system because it launched its actions there in 2020, the corporate stated.
Amazon has round 1,000 workers within the Netherlands, the place its on-line gross sales path these of market chief Bol.com, a subsidiary of retail agency Ahold Delhaize.
“The Netherlands is a vital development marketplace for us,” Amazon’s head for Belgium and the Netherlands Eva Faict stated.
“These investments will permit us to higher serve our clients and enhance our providers.”
In an interview with Dutch monetary every day FD revealed on Monday, Faict stated the investments have been partly aimed on the growth of synthetic intelligence for entrepreneurs who promote their merchandise on Amazon’s platform.
Earlier this month, she introduced a $1.16 billion funding in Amazon’s Belgian operations.
