Months after the federal government elevated renewal fees for older automobiles, the transport ministry has raised the health check payment for all motor automobiles older than 20 years to discourage individuals from holding them.
The Ministry of Street Transport & Highways (MoRTH), in a contemporary notification issued on November 11, stated the upper payment slabs now start at 10 years for business automobiles, as a substitute of 15 years, bringing extra automobiles beneath the up to date price brackets.
It has created three clear age teams for health testing: 10-15 years, 15-20 years and above 20 years.
In line with the notification, the health check payment for mild motor automobiles (LMVs) older than 20 years has been elevated to Rs 15,000 from Rs 10,000.
The notification has made steep revisions to the health check payment for heavy vans and buses older than 20 years. They are going to now need to pay Rs 25,000 for the health check, from Rs 3,500 earlier.
Medium business automobiles in the identical age group will now need to pay Rs 20,000, and the health check of sunshine motor automobiles above 20 years will price Rs 15,000.
The health check payment for two-wheelers above 20 years has additionally been elevated to Rs 2,000 from Rs 600 earlier.
