I am over 65 and work part-time as a server. I do not make over $25k in tips.

I have done my taxes for 2026 and I am getting all of Fed and State taxes refunded to me.

When I was working a full time job before I retired, I adjusted my withholding so that I would pay in a little at tax time vs getting a refund more than a year later.

While the withholding amounts aren’t huge, any reason why I can’t ask my employer to pay $0 Fed and State taxes for me this year? I’d rather owe a little at tax time (should I have a tax owing event.)
