So my daughters insurance was high. As to be expected, she is a teen driver after all (18 yo) and she’s driving a 2022 toyota corolla. Her monthly was around $700 for just her. But today she did a quote, to see what the price would be like if we were both in a policy. For no reason, she put herself (my daughter) as the policy holder and added me (her parent) as the second driver as well as my car a CX-30 Mazda. The monthly went down to $393. First question I have is, has anyone else done this? Where they have their child as the policy holder and added their parent to it. Second, is this even legal haha. I mean I obviously usually see children added TO their parent’s policy not the other way around. Third, is this just something I need to not question and to just take while I can because this deal is just really good. We live in the same house, she is in college. Let me know guys.
