I messed up and didn’t realize I was above the limit to contribute to my Traditional IRA (tIRA) for the 2022 tax year. I’m looking to try to convert these contributions to a backdoor Roth contribution for 2022 if possible. The options I think I have are to transfer my tIRA to my employer’s 401k or just convert the whole thing and eat the tax bill. I have about 30k in the tIRA and fall just outside the income limits of making any tIRA contributions for 2022. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
