DCGpac, a B2B packaging and procurement solutions company, has inaugurated its first ‘Smart Manufacturing Plant’ in Noida. A media statement said the facility, spread across 20,000 sq ft, commenced production on January 18 and has an initial manufacturing capacity of 250 tonnes per month, with plans for rapid scale-up.
The plant has been set up as part of a long-term investment commitment and a five-year strategic partnership with UKHI, a global materials science company that has developed 100 per cent biodegradable and compostable raw materials.
Focus on sustainable packaging
The plant will manufacture export-grade sustainable packaging solutions for e-commerce, quick commerce, logistics, retail, and D2C brands, serving customers across India, the UK, Germany, Australia, and West Asia.
Complementing existing operations
DCGpac’s statement said that this manufacturing initiative is strategic and complementary, and does not replace its existing vendor and manufacturing partner ecosystem. Instead, it strengthens DCGpac’s ability to innovate faster, ensure consistent quality, and support global customers while continuing close collaboration with its nationwide and international partners.
Strategic milestone
Quoting Suresh Bansal, Founder of DCGpac, the statement said: “This manufacturing facility is a strategic milestone in our long-term vision of building a global, sustainability-first packaging ecosystem. Our partnership with UKHI and our backward integration into manufacturing allows us to control quality, scale faster, and deliver truly sustainable solutions to customers worldwide. We are not just building a factory; we are building future-ready supply chain infrastructure for the next generation of global commerce.”
Plans for expansion
Looking ahead, DCGpac plans to build a network of smart manufacturing facilities under its smart manufacturing model over the next five years. The combined investment by DCGpac and its partners is expected to exceed ₹100 crore, aimed at creating a distributed, resilient, and future-ready manufacturing ecosystem to support growing domestic and international demand, it said.
