Recast Software, a Minnesota-based endpoint management company, has announced the acquisition of Liquit, a leading application management firm headquartered in the Netherlands.
This acquisition will allow Recast Software to offer its customers a comprehensive application delivery platform, thus strengthening its position in the endpoint and application management markets.
What the acquisition offers
The combination of services from the two companies will allow IT teams to configure, update, and provision applications rapidly and securely. This can help them enable seamless access to applications for end users.
By simplifying software deployment, Recast Software and Liquit help IT teams work more efficiently and effectively. There will be less burden on them while applications remain up-to-date, compliant, and functioning properly.
The acquisition also has other benefits, such as an enhanced product portfolio for Recast Software, increased innovation from the combined expertise, improved customer experience from the comprehensive set of tools and resources, and expanded global presence.
“We are excited to welcome Liquit into the Recast Software family,” says Will Teevan, CEO of Recast Software.
“The acquisition aligns perfectly with our mission to empower IT professionals with the tools they need to manage and deploy their applications and software more efficiently,” adds Teevan.
The enthusiasm is shared by Liquit’s Co-founder and COO, Peter Hermeling. Recast Software’s acquisition marks “a significant milestone” in Liquit’s journey, as it joined a company trusted by tens of thousands of organisations, possibly impacting over 60 million devices (and people) worldwide.
Get to know about Liquit
Liquit was founded in 2015 by three experienced application management professionals. They saw a gap in the market for a one-stop solution that could simplify and streamline application management for businesses of all sizes, reducing the workload of IT teams and enhancing experience for end-users.
According to the company, its software provides a user-friendly and intuitive interface that can be accessed anywhere, anytime, and on any device. Liquit Smart Icons give IT teams the power to quickly and efficiently deliver, manage, and version thousands of applications for Windows and macOS users.
This ease of use attracted companies to build strong partnerships for critical third-party providers, connectors for critical third-party providers, and hundreds of implementation channel partners around the globe. Some of its clients include Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix.
“The Liquit portal is an easy transition since the end users see the same icons as they did on the Citrix platform so it will hide any technical transitions behind the icons, so they just click, and it works how they expect,” says Knut Myromslien, IT advisor at Norwegia’s Sør-Fron municipality.
By employing Liquit solutions, the municipality gained improved present and future collaboration possibilities and increased productivity without additional costs.
Liquit was named a Gartner Cool Vendor in 2018. Gartner vendors must demonstrate innovation, impact, or intrigue in their products or IT services, regardless of the vendor’s “technology coolness.”
The company was also ranked third among the overall champions of the Benelux 2022 Main Software 50 event held in Utrecht last November.
