WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted an invite from CNN to take part in a debate on Oct. 23 and hopes Republican rival Donald Trump will face her once more lower than two weeks forward of the Nov. 5 presidential election, the Democratic candidate’s marketing campaign stated on Saturday.
“Vice President Harris is prepared for one more alternative to share a stage with Donald Trump, and he or she has accepted CNN’s invitation to a debate on October 23. Donald Trump shouldn’t have any downside agreeing to this debate,” Jen O’Malley Dillon, the chair of the Harris marketing campaign, stated in an announcement.
The Trump marketing campaign didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Harris and Trump debated one another for the primary time on Sept. 10, in a contest that polls confirmed was received by the Democratic nominee.
Trump final week stated he wouldn’t take part in one other debate towards Harris earlier than the election.
