India has been recognised by the Worldwide Civil Aviation Group (ICAO) for strengthening its aviation security oversight system.
Accordingly, the nation has been awarded the ‘ICAO Council President Certificates’.
In a proper communication addressed to the Director Normal, Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation, Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano conveyed that the award could be offered to India on the forty second session of the ICAO meeting on the organisation’s headquarters in Montréal.
Based on ICAO, the council president certificates is awarded to states that show important progress in enhancing their aviation security oversight capabilities via goal and clear standards.
