An IndiGo flight carrying 140 passengers from Bengaluru to Male made an emergency touchdown at Kochi Worldwide Airport on Tuesday afternoon, owing to a technical difficulty. 

In keeping with statements from the airline and airport officers, the plane confronted a technical drawback, prompting its diversion to Kochi airport, the place it landed safely at roughly 2.21 pm. IndiGo confirmed that its flight 6E1127, working from Bengaluru to Male, was diverted to Kochi as a result of technical difficulty. 

“The plane will return to operation after mandatory upkeep, and another one has been organized to facilitate the passengers’ journey to their vacation spot,” the airline stated, “apologising for the inconvenience brought about” to passengers. 

In the meantime, Cochin Worldwide Airport Restricted (CIAL) stated it efficiently dealt with the “emergency touchdown” of the IndiGo flight. “A full emergency was declared at 14.05 hrs, and the flight landed safely at 14.21 hrs. 

The emergency was promptly withdrawn at 14.28 hrs following the secure conclusion of operations,” CIAL stated in a press release.
