STOCK MARKET LIVE UPDATES: Domestic equities sharply extended losses in Monday’s early trade as global mood remained sour. The BSE Sensex edged to an over 4-month low at 58,937, down 500 points, while Nifty50 declined over 160 points to slide to 17,300 levels.

Broader markets, too, inched lower as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 indices fell up to 0.4 per cent.
Barring Nifty Pharma, and Nifty Realty indices, which held marginal, all other sectors plunged in the sea of red.
Among individual stocks, shares of
Paytm gained 5 per cent on reports that telecom tycoon Sunil Mittal is eying stake in the company.
