All new candidates for Aadhaar playing cards in Assam must submit their NRC software receipt quantity (ARN), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned on Saturday.
‘Purposes for Aadhaar playing cards are greater than the inhabitants…It signifies that there are uncertain residents and we’ve determined that new candidates must submit their NRC software receipt quantity (ARN),” the chief minister mentioned at a press convention right here.
This may “cease the inflow of unlawful foreigners” and the state authorities shall be ‘very strict” in issuing Aadhaar playing cards, he mentioned.
“It is not going to be straightforward to get Aadhaar in Assam,” Sarma mentioned.
Submission of the NRC software receipt quantity is not going to be relevant for the 9.55 lakh folks whose biometrics have been locked in the course of the Nationwide Register of Residents (NRC) course of, and they’re going to get their playing cards, he added.
