FSIB, the headhunter for administrators of state-owned banks and monetary establishments, on Monday advisable Ashok Chandra for the place of Managing Director (MD) and CEO of Punjab Nationwide Financial institution (PNB). He’s presently the Government Director of Canara Financial institution.

The Monetary Providers Establishments Bureau (FSIB) interviewed 16 candidates for the place of MD & CEO of PNB, FSIB mentioned in an announcement.

FSIB is headed by former secretary, Division of Personnel and Coaching (DoPT), Bhanu Pratap Sharma. Different members of the headhunter are Animesh Chauhan, former chairman and MD of erstwhile Oriental Financial institution of Commerce, RBI’s ex-executive director Deepak Singhal, and Shailendra Bhandari, former MD of erstwhile ING Vysya Financial institution.

Chandra began his banking profession with erstwhile Company Financial institution in 1991 as Probationary Officer. He holds a Masters in Economics and can also be a Licensed Affiliate of Indian Institute of Bankers.
