He’ll exchange Atul Kumar Goel who retires in December.
The Monetary Providers Establishments Bureau (FSIB) interviewed 16 candidates for the place of MD & CEO of PNB, FSIB mentioned in an announcement.
“Holding in view their efficiency within the interface, total expertise and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommends Ashok Chandra for the place of MD and CEO in PNB,” it mentioned.
The ultimate determination on FSIB’s suggestion can be taken by the Appointments Committee of the Cupboard headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
FSIB is headed by former secretary, Division of Personnel and Coaching (DoPT), Bhanu Pratap Sharma. Different members of the headhunter are Animesh Chauhan, former chairman and MD of erstwhile Oriental Financial institution of Commerce, RBI’s ex-executive director Deepak Singhal, and Shailendra Bhandari, former MD of erstwhile ING Vysya Financial institution.
Chandra began his banking profession with erstwhile Company Financial institution in 1991 as Probationary Officer. He holds a Masters in Economics and can also be a Licensed Affiliate of Indian Institute of Bankers.
