Helpful Support
TurboTenant support staff is so helpful! I have never had an issue that they couldn’t solve. And I made a suggestion about being able to share work orders with maintenance workers via email, and they added that as a feature! I feel like they really listen to their users and are constantly trying to improve their product.

All in one hub
All in one hub! I love the features it offers all in one, organized place. I can advertise the apartments across multiple sites, communicate with potential tenants, prescreen tenants, screen and accept applications all in one place. I also love the previous landlord reference feature. I haven’t used the lease feature and managing rent payment feature yet but based on my experience with all of the above, I may go ahead and use it to manage everything for my rentals.

Negative TurboTenant Reviews

Although there are a lot of good reviews about TurboTenant out there, my review wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t address some negative TurboTenant reviews. Here are a few I think deserve further discussion:

How can I reach a “real person”
How can I reach a “real person”? Turbo tenant needs to have tech consultant when things go wrong! It can be frustrating when cannot reach anyone!

This is a similar experience myself, and probably all of you have had. It is very difficult to get an actual human on the phone to answer your specific questions. Although there is not a direct 24/7 phone number to call, they have some resources available. TurboTenant has an extensive Help Center that can answer many of your questions. If you can’t find your answer there, you can message [email protected] and set up an appointment to discuss your issues with their USA based team.

The pre screening device is very…
The pre screening device is very useful. The fact that you send it to those who respond to the post clarifying the need to do it is very good.
The cost of the application is a negative to prospective tenants.

This is a complaint I noticed on a few occasions while reading through all the TurboTenant ratings. The cost of the application is higher than some other platforms, which could dissuade potential tenants from applying. To offset this fear, TurboTenant helps market your property, getting it in front of more eyeballs.

TurboTenant Pros & Cons

To expand further on the previous TurboTenant reviews, here are some of the pros & cons that have been mentioned:

Pros of TurboTenant:

  • Comprehensive tenant screening, encompassing credit and background checks, ensures landlords can make informed decisions.
  • Efficient online rent collection and accounting tools streamline financial transactions and tracking.
  • The user-friendly interface simplifies navigation, making property management more accessible.
  • Free listing of rental properties on multiple platforms broadens potential tenant reach.
  • State-specific lease agreement creation tools help ensure legal compliance.
  • In-app maintenance request feature facilitates efficient communication between landlords and tenants.
  • Powerful rental marketing and lead management tools enhance property visibility and applicant management.
  • Access to free tools, calculators, reports, and additional resources supports a range of management tasks.

Cons of TurboTenant:

  • Premium features, which enhance the platform’s capabilities, require a subscription fee.
  • The wide array of features may overwhelm some users, leading to underutilization.
  • Limited customization options for forms and reports may not meet all landlords’ specific needs.
  • The free account is limited to connection with only one bank account, which may be restrictive.
  • Customer service has been reported as difficult to reach, potentially leading to unresolved issues.
  • Absence of income verification as part of tenant screening could result in less thorough vetting.

TurboTenant Pricing

TurboTenant offers two main pricing plans: a free basic plan and a premium plan priced at $99 per year (or about $8.25 per month when billed annually). The free plan covers essentials like advertising, tenant screening, and rent collection. The premium plan adds benefits like lower tenant screening fees, custom application questions, and expedited rent payouts.

For renters, using the platform for payments is free, but submitting a rental application incurs a fee. Optional services like renters insurance and rent reporting are available for an extra charge.
