World Sleep Day 2023: World Sleep Day is observed on March 17 every year to spread awareness about the benefits of having a good sleep. World Sleep Day was first hosted by the World Sleep Society (WSS) in 2008. WSS is a non-profit organisation with a group of dedicated healthcare providers and members of the medical community working in the area of sleep medicine and research, to promote and advance sleep health worldwide.
 

World Sleep Society mentioned, “World Sleep Day is an opportunity to promote sleep health alongside thousands of other sleep health professionals and advocates. When we all promote sleep health and #WorldSleepDay together, our combined effort is greater than the sum of its parts. Spread the word about sleep health on World Sleep Day, and help elevate the conversation around sleep.”

World Sleep Day is observed to raise awareness of the importance of sleep. As per the researchers and doctors sleep is important for personal health and well-being. This day also brings together sleep healthcare providers to discuss and distribute information around the world.
